Joseph Briffa completed his basic technical training as a Hairdresser at The Sliema Hairdressing School between 1994 and 1996. During this time, he also worked in Paola with a renowned Italian hairdresser, Gianni Guaracino. After the experience gained under the guidance of Gianni Guaracino, he went on to open his first shop in B’bugia known as “Scissor Happy”. After 3 years it was time to move on and open a New Salon, which he named “Hairoscope”.
Joseph spent many years pursuing the maximum level of training from abroad in order to study and shape current styles and trends. Training has taken him on many educational courses and seminars all over Europe, such as the advanced training from L'oreal in Milan, Intercosmo in Bologna, Davines in Parma, for well being training, and Balmain, where Joseph received the honor of becoming a Master Trainer.
Joseph has done work for FASHION SHOWS and TV, most notibly ‘The Search’. As a regular sponsor of maltese celebrities and the most prestigious hairdressing events, Joseph’s work has also been featured in leading magazines.
Joseph and Hairoscope have built an outstanding reputation for creative excellence and innovation. Working with his team of hand picked assistants Joseph has developed his own unique style and elegance in the realm of hairdressing.
